BANGS
How I never really knew I could take my daughters hair for granted...

A couple months ago I was out doing my visiting teaching and when I came home I was pleased to see that the kids had been put to bed and were sleeping! FANTASTIC!
However, the first words Matt spoke as I came in... "look at the pictures on the camera" Me, "What, what happened!?" Matt, "just look!" (with such a serious face I might add) So I am expecting to see like a really bad diaper blow out or a big mess that the kids made, something they got into..etc. Well they got into something, alright... the hair cutting scissors!
The picture waiting for me was the result of the following picture!
William and the great scissor skills he has (which consists of a two handed chopping method) decided to help Grace with her constant, bangs in your face problem. Here is what I gathered from the hair on the floor of the bathroom. Grace had never had an official hair cut until this... just a trim here and there, when her bangs were too long or to even out the hair, things I could do without totally messing her hair up. Well, William gave her, her first hair cut! I don't know if it looks like a lot ... but it was a lot, more than had ever been cut off her cute head!

How do you fix it when all her bangs have been cut off and quite a few chunks have been cut off her right side? The answer, you cant, you have to just do with what you have. So my cousin evened out the short chunky bangs, and trimmed it up into a bob cut so the mullet look was softened a bit. Here is the after hair cut try to fix it look. And she really doesn't ever leave anything in her hair or on her head, the head band was only because she was playing with it and wanted it on for her picture, typically nothing is in her hair....
The Bangless Beauty
I do agree it could have been worse... and the back looks just adorable!
After this experience I can say I am thankful my little William "the barber" was careful enough only to give his sister a small nick on the side of her head drawing only minimal blood, (which I found on the toilet tank). I am thankful no one got seriously cut and that Grace although loosing a large amount of her precious hair... she still has her beautiful blue eyes!!!

Plus... even with bangs her hair ends up looking like this an hour after it's done any way... :)
