THANKSGIVING!
This was my first year having Thanksgiving at my house. Matt's Mom and step Dad were in town and so we had it with his family this year. The turkey turned out great and everyone's dishes were extra yummy! Thanks to all who helped make it great.
Here is the bird just before putting it in the oven. Matt and I wanted to make sure this was a moist and yummy so we found a special recipe on recipezaar.com (highly recommend using that site). We brined it over night in a cooler and filled it with aromatics and rubbed it with sage and olive oil. It was a labor of love and it took awhile to prepare... but it was well worth it!

Mrs. Plumber
We had a mild set back inbetween getting ready, dinner prep and eating. The diposal in the sink got backed up and nothing was going down. Everyone was just a bit sheepish at taking it apart so I jumped in. As I asked Matt for a screwdriver he stated, "I feels weird getting the tools for you." As he is usually the one I get tools for... it was funny. However, we took it apart and saw that the plastic bag that holds the gibblets from the turkey had somehow made its way into the disposal tank blocked it up... got it out, unclogged the potato skins.. and presto! Fixed... Dad Wadleigh was impressed for the rest of his trip that I did that. :) I think it comes from my family, my mom and dad were always fixing things even if they had no idea what they were doing to start out with, it seemed to get fixed if they just tried to figure it out.
New Table
Our new table, we got it just in time to break it in for Thanksgiving, it was fabulous .Thanks to all of us who worked to set it and decorate it, it looked great, I am enjoying every minute of our new investment. This is my Christmas present from Matt... thanks for letting me get it early, Love you babe!

William was not about to wait, I had to pull the turkey wing back from him during the prayer. the turkey wing came off when it was transfered from pan to platter... and was just in William reach at the table. He dug into right after the prayer was ended, and continued to scarf down the rest of his meal, he loved everything! Thanks everyone, for making the meal nut free for my little guy!

I just liked this picture of Grace looking back at me taking the shot, and it is good she was looking, she's the only thing in focus. :)
Lucky Six
This was a fun game Matt's mom planned for us to play. Not sure it's real name but we too, turns rolling a dice to get a six. If you rollled a six you got to put on the gloves, hat and scarf and then proceed to try and open the gift. She wrapped a prize up in box after box that was duct tapped and clear tapped all over. However, you had to hurry and get the gear on, and get to openeing because the dice continued around the circle and the next person to roll a 6 got to take the gear from you and proceed on with their turn, no matter how soon. Sometimes you didn't even have time to put the stuff on or you would get so close to getting it open, and then it would be someone elses turn. It was a blast, see some of the funn pictures she too below. I didn't get a picture of everyone on my camera unfortunatly but here is what I got. Enjoy!

Here is Jackie, Jasons' wife. She had some major present opening skills.
Here is Jackie, Matt and me, I seriously don't know what face I am pulling. I look very into it. I am trying to help Jackie get dressed before the next player gets a six. Serioulsy this game is intense! Especially when you get as competitive as this family.

I didn't get one of matt with the get up on, but here is one of him really hoping for a six I believe. Jason ended up the one to get the prize. It was Floam (spell check) . A good choice for something that takes a major beating in the opening process.
